I know there are other excellent walking tours in Edinburgh and I’m taking up your challenge to add some to your list.

Other audio tours in the Fringe include Blood and Roses by Poorboy Theatre (http://www.edfringe.com/whats-on/theatre/blood-and-roses)
and (g)Host City (http://www.edfringe.com/whats-on/theatre/g-host-city)

They are not historical walking tours but both uses streetscapes in different ways to evoke memories and emotions.

There are also new (and not so new) New Town audio tours but they are somewhat more tartan and conventional than Edinburgh Comedy Tour!

And of course you can cheat and listen to extracts from the comedy tour for free and without getting up off the sofa (though with any luck it will make you want to hit the streets).

I like your style. I think in general, women are usually dragging men to high art events. In my own household, this is the exact opposite as my wife would much rather attend a musical than a concert of contemporary classical music (a style of music which I adore!).
Musicals almost make me sick with the syrupy sentiment. But, to each their own.
